Raven Simone is sharing her thoughts on Bill Cosby. During an appearance on the Hate to Break It to You podcast, the Cosby Show alum, who made her acting debut on the 80s sitcom at the age of three, makes rare comments about her former co-star sexual assault cases, explaining that she separates his legal troubles from his professional accomplishments. And he also have been has been accused of some horrific things. Horrific. And that does not excuse No. But that’s his personal. Yes. So, personally, keep that there. And then business-wise, know what he did there as well. And like you said, both can live. And I think our culture is right to, you know, don’t do wrong. Don’t do wrong person. You just can’t do wrong. During the conversation, Raven highlights a disgraced comedian’s contributions to the television industry, including pioneering the practice of hiring black crew members on the set of his series. back then, especially on a black show, it was very important to see yourself, not just in front, but behind the camera as well. And Mr. Cosby instilled that in all of us. And I took it to Disney and I took it to anywhere I went afterwards, even when it uh wasn’t the norm. I was like, “No, I have to be able to see myself because if I don’t ask for it, who will?” Enews has reached out to Cosby’s attorney for comment, but has not yet heard back. The 88-year-old was sentenced to 3 to 10 years in prison in 2018 after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in 2004. He was released in June 2021 after his conviction was overturned by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, who cited an agreement Cosby made with a previous prosecutor, which would have prevented him from being charged in the case. 1. Why do yall keep asking Raven about this? She was a baby on that show leave her out of this this goes for Keisha too also a baby shouldn’t be asked probably doesn’t remember much.

    2. I’m part Korean and Italian so I mean no shade when I say this, but the industry always highlights the failures of minorities, Black, Mexican, or any other minority entertainers when they make mistakes. But when Caucasian entertainers do the same things, you hear not a single word. Don’t just hold a few accountable, hold all accountable!

    3. So. . . does she think he did the things he’s being accused of? How was her working experience with him? Did he make her feel any kind of way back then? Does she think the things they’re accusing him of are true? Those are my need to know questions. I thought that’s what the video was gonna answer. Guess not. 🤷🏾‍♀️

    4. She’s right though, separate the content from the man. Sure he worked on that series, but so did many others who were not involved with his misdeeds, and many incredible moments came from other cast. The same can be said for R Kelly, as “I Believe I Can Fly” is still such a powerful song, and it’s not the songs fault that the maker went bananas. Don’t blame the art, it’s harmless. The man is separate from the art, and is a completely different subject.
