During an interview with Esquire published November 9th, the actor clarifies what he meant by saying he planned to quote stop acting for a bit next year, telling the outlet, “I did an interview with a magazine when I was cycling between Rome and Pizza on the way to a friend’s wedding, and the internet kept cutting out.” As a result, there was an unfortunate misquote that said I’d stop acting for a bit. My intention was to say, “Next year, I’ll be back.” But yeah, the ripple effect was extraordinary. And Jonathan, who simply was shifting his focus to his charity, the Shameless Fund, which raises funds for nonprofit organizations supporting the LGBTQ plus community, continues by saying, “By Monday, the headlines were,” Jonathan Bailey has quit acting. “I learned at that moment that you can’t control it.” But fans of the actor don’t need to be worried about him being absent from their screens for too long. as a 37year-old who will still appear in the fourth season of Bridgetgerton, debuting on Netflix in January, notes he’ll be back to work at some point in 2026.
