#RobertIrwin is keeping his dad, #SteveIrwin close on #DWTS journey
want to talk about the post that you shared on Instagram, how you’ve been wearing your dad’s shirt to rehearsal. Every morning when it’s show day, when it’s Tuesday, I put it on to go to the studio before we get into wardrobe. I do our first rehearsals and I’m always wearing this shirt. So before you guys see my dance in costume, I’ve always done that dance at least once in dad’s shirt. It just keeps me close to home. It keeps me close to him. Does that feel just like a warm big hug for you? It does. Um, and it was it was special. Like I I found that shirt right before I came over here and I got it fixed up and I I just went this is this is a way to kind of keep him in this experience because I wouldn’t be here. I wouldn’t be doing what I do without him and my mom and this legacy that they created. And he is with me in everything I do. I I miss him so much every day. But it’s been an honor to represent the work that he started. I mean, I live at Australia Zoo. I I continue his charity, the wildlife warriors that we set up. I’m on conservation missions around the world every single day. This is what I live and breathe. And when I step onto this floor, that’s what I represent, that passion, that enthusiasm. And I hope, you know, in some way, I hope I hope he um I hope he feels that. And and I hope he’s proud. He is. He’s so proud of you. We’re all so proud of
