Demi Lovato Shares How Jutes Helped Her Overcome “Deep Depression” | E! News
Demi Lovado is opening up about her marriage with Jordan Luths and how he helped her through her depression. The two musicians married in Santa Barbara back in May, but their origins started as friends in January of 2022. While writing her eighth studio album, Holy Speaking on their romance, Demi tells who went where November 19th. We became friends before we became lovers. I opened up to him because I was going through a really rough time when I made holy. I had just come out of treatment and I was newly sober and raw with my emotions. I had nothing to medicate with. He was there for me as a friend, helping me get through this deep depression I was in and writing the song Happy Ending together. [Music] Demi says their friendship started to turn into something more. She adds, “It’s probably one of the most vulnerable songs I’ve ever made. I didn’t know we were going to become lovers. I definitely didn’t know that we were going to get married one day, but that was the session that made me feel safe with him. [Music]

Girl, stop trying to make us like him. You know you deserve better.
Admitting to being codependent (which isn't healthy in itself) and getting involved with someone when you were at your worst and most emotionally vulnerable is NOT a show of strength. Not to mention that he was literally in a relationship with another woman when they met.
