Miss Jamaica Falls Off Miss Universe Stage, Leaves on Stretcher | E! News

Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry exits the Miss Universe pageant on a stretcher after falling off stage. During the November 19th ceremony, Gabrielle took a major fall during the preliminary evening gown category. According to video shared to Instagram, the 28-year-old struts down the Miss Universe runway in a bedazzled orange gown paired with a matching cape. After striking a pose for the judges, the contestant continues walking to her left where she falls completely off stage. Additional footage of the moment online shows people nearby coming to her rescue and carrying her off on a stretcher to receive medical attention. Just hours later, the Miss Universe organization released an update on Gabrielle’s injuries, saying she was rushed to the Paulo Ranks at hospital where medical professionals are attending to her care and have advised that she is not suffering from any life-threatening injuries. The incident comes just days before the Miss Universe finals in Thailand November 25th. Miss Universe Organization President Raul Roachcha also shares an update on his Instagram, noting that he visited Gabrielle in the hospital. He says, “I have just left the hospital where she is being treated. I was there with her family and her and thankfully there are no broken bones and she is under good care. She will remain under observation for the rest of the night and we will remain in touch with her family to support her.” He ends his message with, “Our prayers go out for her prompt recovery.
