In an interview with the Sunday Times published November 22nd, the actress shares why she waited to start a family, telling the outlet, “You have so much more wisdom and patience when you become a mother in your 40s. It was all about me for so long. 40 years of me was enough time. So, I was really blessed to have my child later in life. Eva, who shares seven-year-old son Santiago with husband Joseé Bastion, continues, “I had traveled. I done everything I needed to do for my career. Now everything I do is just icing on the cake, and I get to do that with my son.” However, the director and producer who turned 50 this year does understand that becoming a mom will only become more challenging as she gets older, explaining, “I want to have my 20-year-old body with my 50-year-old mind. Wouldn’t that be great? We’re all aging. It’s happening. So, you have no choice but to embrace it. I just want to age well. I want to be able to move, hike, get up and downstairs. I’m still carrying my son and he’s seven.
Eva Longoria revealed why she waited until she was in her forties to start a family with husband José Bastón.

Fun Fact: Eva Longoria worked on a Texas ranch growing up and was the only one of her sisters with darker skin, so her family nicknamed her “La Negra.” Despite becoming a glam Hollywood star, she can still rope, ride, and handle ranch chores like it’s nothing.
