One day in California, I was walking down the street begging for a pet. Mommy, please, please, please. Mommy said, “Taylor, just wait and see. In the meantime, you can help at the Humane Society. Give them blankets and towels to help the animals stay cozy and warm until they get a home. They’re cute and they’re fun. Don’t cost much free. So come and save a pet at the Humane Society. Oh, I remember. So you still know this one? Oh, yeah. It was one of my first songs I ever wrote. I really wanted a dog. I just done I just done the Grinch and I fell in love with Kelly who played Max and she was kind of like my pet for 2 years and then suddenly she was gone and I really wanted an animal and my parents said no because we’re traveling and working and you know blah blah blah. And so they said, “But you can do you can work at the Humane Society for a summer.” So the story is almost verbatim of what happened in my life of I want a pet. My mom said no, but you can work here.
