Tia Mowry Reveals Which of Her Kids Is Already a Cooking Superstar | E! News

Creed did show me signs at a young age because he had such a great palette. Like he was eating miso soup at like the age of six. I’m like what? We literally have a group chat the whole family. And in this group chat we are all just firing off like what are we going to cook this year. My mom she’s already she already got dibs on the greens. So I was like cuz that’s something that I want to cook and I like to cook. Um my sister got dibs on the mashed potatoes. That was something that I wanted to cook too. I’m really good at uh making whipped garlic mashed potatoes, but what hasn’t been claimed is the cornbread. I make a mean cornbread and sometimes what I do is I’ll put bacon in it. Just last night, I made dinner with my son. Um I really think that he he absolutely loves food. I think he’s definitely going to be um uh the the the I think the chef in in the family. I mean, my daughter, she’s still young, but she hasn’t she hasn’t shown me any signs. Creed did show me signs at a young age because he had such a great palette. Like, he was eating miso soup at like the age of six. I’m like, what? You know, he’s always wanting to try new things. Um, but he can throw down in the kitchen. I know the importance of educating myself and understanding my family dynamic when it comes to cancer. and I know the importance of getting your yearly screenings. So, I just want to encourage others to do the same. And so, how we’re doing that is I’ve partnered with Fizer and American Cancer Society to host this incredible, empowering, impactful video series called Rewrite the Recipe. In this series, I am sitting down with, you know, people within, you know, my our community, the black community, and they have been either affected by cancer themselves or they’ve had family members that have cancer. But we are tackling the hard uh conversations around cancer. You know, the leading cause of death for black Americans in the US is breast cancer. It’s prostate cancer for for men. um only one in five uh black adults in the US know their family history. So I say that all to say that family history is one of many factors that can influence one’s risk of a cancer diagnosis. [Music]
