Stranger Things Fans Call Out Major Season 5 Continuity Error | E! News
One Stranger Things storyline detail is turning fans upside down. Eagle-eyed fans are taking issue with a flashback scene in volume one of the Netflix series fifth and final season, saying it doesn’t align with an earlier telling of the same memory from season 1. In the season 5 look back, Will Buyers, played by Noah Schnapp, and his older brother Jonathan, build a fort in the woods named Castle Buyers, a pivotal location in the debut season. Well, during the flashback, the buyer’s brothers construct the fort in the sunshine during the day, which is noticeably different from Jonathan’s recollection of the events as told in season 1, with Jonathan recalling that the two quote stayed up all night building castle buyers. One fan points out on X, quote, “It also makes no sense for them to act so normal when it’s literally the day their father left the house.” This is not the first flood viewers have noticed on the series. As another pointed out on X, quote, “They literally forgot Will’s birthday last season and fans had to remind them.” And even some of the Stranger Things writers acknowledged the gaff. You know what the problem was? The wOkE writers so focused on MAKING SURE "tHe🌈MeSsEge" is sent out and absorbed by as many confused "teens" as possible. As usual piggybacking of the success of an actual good show…that is now being ruined with woke garbage backwards messaging🤦🏽♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦♂️🤦🏾♂️

That’s not even the worst plot hole. How about how they have some of play intertwined in season 5 but miss the fact that Henry never would’ve gone to high school, like in the play, on the basis that he was taken in season four by Brenner at age 12.
Started during the day finished that night… Not a continuity error lol
A lot of plot holes or “continuity” liberties or whatever you want to call them. From Holly’s age to Henry being in high school when he’s 12 or Andy the bully still being in high school 2 years after he’s a senior in season 4(him and Jason have class of 86 on their jackets). Let’s hope the next 4 episodes get so much better that nobody will remember any of the minor oversites.

Will was remembering it as a happy memory so that doesn’t mean it happened exactly as it showed. The point is that Will used the memories to bring himself to use his power by realizing he was loved and accepted by the people who matter

Also they slipped up with the flashback to open season 5, they have the “ new young Will “ in the upside down with a rifle, but the rifle was left behind after he was taken, so how does he now have it in the upside down?
