Where Jessie J, Channing Tatum Stand 5 Years After Break Up | E! News

Here’s where Jesse Jay and Channing Tatum stand five years after their breakup. In a new interview with The Guardian, the British singer opens up about her relationship with the actor and if he’s okay with being referenced on her new album, Don’t Tease Me With a Good Time. On the track titled Complicated, Jesse recalls her experiences throughout the 2010s and her life in LA at the time, singing on one line, “I met a magic mic. Will that ever be forgotten? Cuz everything they write, that’s the headline and the topic.” So, did Chan give the shout out a thumbs up? Jesse tells the outlet, “I played him the song to see if he’s okay with it, and he was. He’s so sweet. Channing is such a sweet guy. We were such good friends and had such a good time together.” And in the interview, the musician sets the record straight on another song from the album called Threw It Away, in which she sings, “I gave you my love, you threw it away.” When told by the Guardian that there’s speculation she’s referencing Channing there as well, Jesse offers some clarity, telling the interviewer, “I reckon there’s probably a little bit of that in there, but it wasn’t just about him. I dated a lot of people when I was in LA, and there were lots of men who were like, “Yeah, ride on my motorbike and I’ll show you around.” And then they just drop you off. That’s the negative of LA. And while Jesse has a lot of memories of her decade in California, she’s now living back in the UK with her partner, Danish Israeli basketball player Shannon Coleman and their son Sky. She tells the outlet, “It was a really selfish, amazing life I had, but it wasn’t the kind of life I could maintain with a child and a partner. When I had Sky, I thought I didn’t want to raise my son away from his immediate family. And my partner’s Danish, so we wanted to be closer to Denmark, too. [Music]
