Selena Cantonia’s family is bidding farewell to their beloved patriarch. The late Dano music icon’s father, Abraham Cantonia Jr. has died at the age of 86. The record producer’s son, Abraham AB Cantonia III, confirms the sad news on his Instagram December 13th, writing, “It’s with a heavy heart to let you guys know that my dad passed away today.” No further details on Abraham’s passing, including a cause of death, have been made public. E-News has reached out to the Cantonia family, but hasn’t yet heard back. Abraham played an instrumental role in forming his children’s musical group, Selena Yalost, in the 1980s. As the band’s popularity in the Latin music world and beyond grew, he continued to serve as their manager. However, the group officially disbanded following Selena’s untimely death in March 1995 when she was shot and killed by the former president of her fan club, Yolanda Salivar.
