Tearful Kevin Bacon pays tribute to his ‘A Few Good Men’ director Rob Reiner: ‘Everyone’s hurting’

I'm not sure um how to uh do this, but Rob Ryder gave me a job and a few good men uh sometime in the '90s, I guess it was. And I was over the moon to get that job because I people may or not know, but this is Spinal Tab is is my all-time favorite movie. And when he called me, I I was just so thrilled. But the making of that movie was one of the best experiences that I've ever had on a set. He was so fun, you know, and it really it comes down from the top, you know, you can set a tone where people feel like we are working hard but also working hard in a safe and pleasant and fun situation. You know, we had lunch together every day. I'd never done that w with a a director before since I' never gone to have lunch and and and Michelle would be there and the two of them were so great together. Kira would come by, she was pregnant, bring Travis, you know, it was just it was a magical time. So, I'm just sending love to um everybody that knew him cuz I know that uh everyone's hurting today.

Kevin Bacon is in mourning after Rob Reiner’s tragic death.

The 67-year-old actor posted an emotional video tribute on Instagram Monday to Reiner, who directed Bacon in the 1992 legal drama “A Few Good Men,” after the filmmaker and his wife Michele were brutally murdered over the weekend.

“I’m not sure how to do this, but Rob Reiner gave me a job in ‘A Few Good Men,’” Bacon began in his video. “Sometime in the ’90s, I guess it was, and I was over the moon to get that job, because people may or may not know, but ‘This Is Spinal Tap’ is my all-time favorite movie.”

    1. I am sorry for your pain with your friend's death and his wife, Kevin. No way do they deserve this. When Charlie was assassinated, most of the Left laughed and celebrated this event. Not even a moment of grief was allowed to us before your media went along with the celebration. What a world we live in now.
