Julia Roberts Shares Rare Makeup-Free Selfie | E! News

Julia Roberts is a pretty woman with and without red carpet glam. On December 16th, the Oscar winner shows off her natural look on Instagram, posting a selfie wearing little to no makeup with her simple beachy curls. But instead of highlighting her beauty, Julia draws the attention to the book in her hands, writing an homage to fashion photographer Alexi Lubberki alongside the photo. My friend Alexi has made this beautiful new book, Nura Sakura. And while the 58-year-old’s latest look proves her preference for simplicity when it comes to beauty, she has described her overall style as quote chic and effortless. In fact, Julia recently admitted that her most iconic look to date at the 47th annual Golden Globes in 1990 was thrown together last minute. She told British Vogue in 2024, “This was one of my all-time favorite outfits. I did my hair, my girlfriend did my makeup, and I got this suit from Armani in Beverly Hills. I went to the men’s department and they had an instore tailor and they tailored it for me. Adding, I could not have known it was going to become this statement piece. I just thought I looked fabulous.

In the photo, the ‘Notting Hill’ actress showed off her no makeup look with her simple beachy curls and a gray sweatshirt. The 58-year-old has previously described her style as “effortless and chic,” pointing to one of her most iconic looks at the 47th annual Golden Globes in 1990 as that was thrown together last minute.
