Mattie Prud is responding to the backlash over her comments on being submissive on her Stay Troop podcast. The former Bachelor contestant who is married to Grant Trout said on the topic of submission, “It was a challenge for me at first. Now it’s like my favorite thing. I love talking about submission. [music] The comments caused plenty of criticism from the public. And on Sunday, December 14th, Maddie and Grant sat [music] down to explain the context behind the statements, describing what they did not mean.” The pair says in no way that has ever been a moment in our household where you’re like you have to submit to me or I’m like I have to submit to you. Like that word is never used. That is not our posture. Um it’s just the word that’s used over and over again in the Bible. >> Matt acknowledges that some women may interpret the word to [music] mean oppression, but that’s not their intention. She instead says submission comes from Ephesians 5 in the Bible [music] where Paul lays out the blueprint for godly biblical marriage. And in her household, it means Grant is the spiritual leader, [music] provider, and protector of the home. and that Maddie respects and honors Grant in that way.

As a Christian woman I struggle with the meaning of “submissive” and it has been an ongoing struggle because the world has a definition for it and the Bible has a different one, but I’m living in the world.
I’m not a Christian so I don’t care. As long as they’re happy, do you.
Ew. 🙄
Oh yeah go gurls
Weird flex but ok
Submissive in a marriage means a wife is not to OD ( Over Do) by respecting the man as he is the man and the protector and provider. Every wife should have one and if you don’t , choose wisely.
Karmic trash.
Religion truly is used as a "get out of jail free" card for promoting discrimination. Healthy relationships are based on mutual love and respect, not one person demanding another person be submissive to them and count their feelings/opinions/wellbeing as more important than their partner.
