Robert Irwin Gave Family Warning Before “Spicy” DWTS Performance | E! News

Robert Irwin reveals the warning he gave his family before that spicy Dancing with the Stars moment. During the December 18th podcast episode of Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce, the son of late Australian conservationist and TV host Steve Irwin shared that his family was caught off guard when they saw him strip for one of his performances on the dancing competition series, saying, “Every dance that I had done, I would give my family a little preview. But then this one, there’s a point in the dance where I remove my shirt and it’s salsa, so it’s a little bit spicy. With Robert going on to detail the hilarious warning he gave mom Terry Irwin and sister Bindy Irwin before he stepped onto the ballroom floor, recalling, “I said to them, so this one’s a little bit edgy.” And they’re like, “Oh, that’s great. Go for it.” But then afterwards, they were like, “Wo.” However, the 22-year-old who ended up taking home the season 34 Mirrorball trophy has no regrets about bearing it all for the show, saying, “You know what? Life is short. You’ve got to just embrace it. It was fun. I got to find this new sort of side to myself. Cool Robert. I never knew he existed.
