Bryan Kohberger’s Sister Mel Kohberger Breaks Silence on Idaho Murders | E! News

Bryan Kohberger’s sister Mel Kohberger shared how she and her family have been affected after he killed four University of Idaho students Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, in November 2022. Mel told The New York Times in an interview published Jan. 3, that at time of Bryan’s December 2022 arrest, she had been training for a job but agreed to leave due to the employer being bombarded with inquiries. “It’s confusing,” she explained. “It’s painful. It’s like being victimized but not really being a victim.” Mel also condemned speculation that she and her family had been aware he was responsible for the tragedy. “I have always been a person who has spoken up for what was right,” she told The New York Times. “If I ever had a reason to believe my brother did anything, I would have turned him in.”

    1. How many people in this comment section have actually read all the documents that were released in this case? Have watched and listened to the hearings that were made public, or watched hours and hours of surveillance videos? I can probably guess it's slim to none. From the horrible attitudes toward the Kohberger's it's pretty evident. You may wanna look into things a little further. It may just make your head spin. Making you feel like you just read a fictional script. Things do not add up. In any way whatsoever!!

    2. I really think this whole family is still out of touch with reality some of the stuff she said and these interviews play trying to make her brother human not thinking about the four beautiful families that lost their four beautiful children. Does she really think we care that BK was worried about them not his birthday. I really don't know what else to say I'm like what was she thinking when she put this interview out

    3. What he did was monstrous killing those four innocent college students. He deserves capital punishment he does not deserve to sit in a jail cell for 25 years or 40. He’s a worthless human being and should be removed from society.

    4. We see it all the time that family members say their loved ones are innocent- they can’t cope with the truth.
If they admit their brother is guilty, they may be have to admit they knew he had major problems and should have done something to help him instead of ignoring it for YEARS!
