Lindsey Vonn “In Stable Condition” After Shocking Olympics 2026 Crash | E! News
After Lindsey Vonn was airlifted off the slopes following a heart stopping crash at the Olympics Feb. 8, her team shared an update on her health. “Update: Lindsey Vonn sustained an injury,” the US Ski and Snowboard Team posted to their official X page Feb. 8, “but is in stable condition and in good hands with a team of American and Italian physicians.” The team’s comment comes just hours after the gold medalist crashed during an event while making her way down a slope. And the 41-year-old’s sister Karin Kildow witnessed the accident in-person. “That’s definitely the last thing we wanted to see,” Karin told NBC’s Cara Banks Feb. 8. “When that happens, you’re just immediately hoping she’s okay, and it was scary. Sounds as if age cutoff &/or injury(ies) needs to be instituted for physically demanding sports!
No one 35+ yrs of age AND/OR no competitor with ANYthing torn/injured/surgically repaired for less than 5 years. Oh, and MENTAL competency.

This ego of hers, always having to be in the spotlight…what is she, 41? Olympic Champions of old would retire after their medal run and help the next generation get up to par, not because they couldn't do it anymore, but to give someone else their chance at competing, winning medals, and having the focus on them…Lindsey is a selfish brat. I don't want to see anybody get hurt but I'm glad she's f*cking out of it.

I love it how these old washed-up has beens take Olympic spots from someone younger and much more deserving. She had her days in the sun. Let someone else have a shot.
Unfortunate that her torn ACL made her adjust her skiing (shouldn't have been) and doing so cut a close line that ended up clipping the gate. Adding surgery for a fracture leg two a normally two year ACL etc rehab will not be easy at 41. Let's not lose sight and congrats 🎉 the GOLD medal USA and Olympic Champion Breezy Johnson. She is being way too overshadowed in all the Vonn news!!!!!

Ego, ego, ego. I find it interesting the team didn’t say what this new injury is as it looked to me like her fall had to do with her arm catching while she was favouring the weak side. Her spot should have gone to someone else.

Hope she is well. However, 41 year old athlete, with recent ACL injury, and metal implant in her body – cannot compete with 20 year old athletes. I wish she would let her Olympic spot to a young US athlete who would be thrilled to compete, not to mention have better chance on winning.
As a much older,long time, fellow skier I really feel bad for her.She probably should not have been racing on a ruptured ACL. I also noticed she seem to stand up a little after losing her balance, which is something you don't want to do because it puts you even more off balance. I also noticed her ski bindings never released ,which makes injury more likely. I hope she recovers soon
abolish ice & i literally don’t care if ice uses body cams. we already see the hateful “he man” copoganda they like to plaster their media with. don’t fund a penny towards the violent occupation of our own country and neighborhoods.
