Amid the ongoing search for Savannah Guthrie’s mom Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old’s home was searched by the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s deputies again, as well as the nearby home of her daughter Annie Guthrie, per Today. A spokesperson told the NBC morning show that such activity for the case is “part of the normal course.” A car believed to belong to Nancy was also towed out of her garage, according to footage obtained by the outlet. Nancy was reported missing on Feb. 1 after having dinner at a family member’s home the night before. I’m glad they are looking again. I recall a case where a neighborhood teenager targeted an elderly woman and stuffed her in a closet and put stuff on top of her. Family found her. Nothing is normal about this. Why would you kidnap an 84 year old?

It sounds like the ransom payment isn't going to happen, perhaps the FBI has determined the Bitcoin demand is fraudulent. This puts things back at square one. But why kidnap an 84-year-old woman if not for money? Where is the actual ransom note? This situation just keeps getting worse.
