HGTV CANCELS ‘Rehab Addict’ After Nicole Curtis Used Racist Word On Set
HGTV pulled the new season of ‘Rehab Addict’ from air just hours before its premiere amid a racism controversy with star Nicole Curtis. ‘Radar Online’ published unused footage from the long-running show, in which hte 49-year-old Detroit-based renovator used the N-word. After stripping the show off its streamers, too, HGTV tells ET, ‘Not only is language like this hurtful and disappointing to our viewers, partners, and employees – it does not align with the values of HGTV.’ Nicole has since apologized on Instagram, telling her followers, ‘I want to be clear: the word in question is wrong and not part of my vocabulary and never has been.’

How do we know she really said it? Is there any proof? Even so with AI not sure I believe all this anyway. She wanted to shelve season 9 for a while. It gives the appearance that they wanted a reason to cancel the show. I never used to believe in Fake news but how people get so quickly cancelled nowadays it's ridiculous. If she said it then it's wrong just not sure I truly believe that came out of her mouth

If she used the word, it IS a part of her vocabulary and not a "slip up". If HGTV decides again to bring her back, I think she should b required to make a hefty donation to an organization such as NAACP, or similar organization that helps n enriches the lives of our black communities

You know it’s just a word right. It’s used everywhere and even in music constantly. Talk about racism and ignorance! Now it’s racist to call an item that word? If a black person says it to people it’s ok but damn the white girl that calls something without feelings that word. SMDH

How about a link to the original source? No one trusts the media saying "take my word for it". I saw the video and the whole thing is stupid. She shouldn't say it but she also shouldn't get fired for it.
