In 2017, @darreldotcom posted on twitter saying she was ordering a new debit card with Terry Crews face on it, but her bank rejected her request because she needed written approval from Terry Crews to use his face. Then Terry Crews actually responded giving her permission, so she called her bank and it seems like they approved it, although I couldn’t find out for sure.

There was also a credit card sticker company that took advantage of the hype by offering free stickers of the same terry pic for YOUR card, I used to have one on my debit card in college 😂 iirc you didn’t even have to pay for shipping

My wife’s uncle drew our son. Half face was him and other half was Spider-Man. A company didn’t want to print it bc they said I needed permission. Little did they know it was all custom work. I had the master files since it was a work for hire. Needless to say they printed it and he was the talk of his class
