This is so cathartic, thank you. I'm 21 years old and graduated last May from a public in-state university. Despite it being "cheaper" than private and/or out of state colleges, I'm in $90k of debt. That's AFTER I graduated 1 whole year earlier than the typical bachelor's degree student. I had 1 single offer for a temporary job last June after dozens of applications and a stunning work history of 8+ jobs/internships. I'm disabled and forced myself to work 60+ hours a week at that job. Last night, I submitted my first unemployment claim. I live with family because I can't afford anything else. You're right in everything you said here: what are we going to do? The system is failing us and we aren't holding literal criminals accountable. I played the game and now I'm waiting for a measly unemployment check just so I can afford my disability-related doctor's visits. What are we going to do?
