Please check yourself. First of all. Even if a celebrity is gorgeous or has flawless skin, they can (and ALWAYS HAVE) played a role in a historical film. It's the costume and special effects designer's jobs to add faux tooth decay, faux blemishes, makeup, and costuming to achieve a realistic representation of historical people's appearances. If the requirement to cast an actor in a period piece was that they actually already look and move AS A PERSON FROM THE 1700's, complete with dysentery, then who tf Could get cast?!?! What the heck. Your take there is ridiculous and nonsensical as a person very familiar with the film industry.
But on Top of that obvious flaww (pun intended), there is also the fact that this version of wuthering heights is famously, openly, purposefully, a REIMAGINED characterization– complete with fashion, set pieces and other elements that are not strictly time period appropriate, in order to achieve a certain aesthetic, like bridgerton or a knight's tale.

Truly Kjesrsti, some of us have been on Reddit throughout this whole thing the last 2 years – Blake HAD NO supporters there at all UNTIL the last month.
Those subs you're talking about are FULL of bots and paid supporters. I noticed the first time when there was a new post in the sub and there would only be 12 comments, but one comment would have 300 upvotes. That doesn't happen on Reddit.
But again, there just weren't even subs until very recently (when it was time to go to court) that there was ANYONE supporting her and it's ALL PAID FOR.
The margo robbie story, The point of the Obsession with them is because Wuthering Heights is about Obsession NOT Love. It just proves people do not read books anymore. Though this movie only followed the obsession part of the story right, the rest was Shite. The promotion was obvious for the story they are selling. Use CT skills here too.

Wuthering Heights isn't one of my favourite stories, but they've totally ruined it, I won't even bother watching. They did the same with Frankenstein, although that wasn't too bad, but it still wasn't the same as the book.
Actors like Blake and Ryan are responsible for decline of movie box office sales. I have no interest in seeing movies with actors like them. No sane person would go against you where Blake was so rude and bullying to you.
I want to mention my Favorite
“ Wuthering Heights” movies. 1.) 1992 Ralph Fiennes & Juliette Binoches. Ralph’s acting is superb as the blistering hateful Heathcliff. 2.) 1939 Lawrence Olivier & Merle Oberlon & 3.) Tom Hardy & Charlotte Riley(they married after the film). There are recent mentions online of how the book is really about dark obsession, vengeance, class, the depressed Yorkshire Moors not typical romance at all. The Brontë s Family Experience with premature death contributed to the 3 sisters writing. All 3 died by the age of 30 and their mother died when they were young. Their father encouraged the girls writings. It is surprising to see the small space they spent all their hours writing & created their masterpieces in. The current movie creators may be aware of new views on the book versus the movies Hollywood created starting in 1939. That may contribute to this offscreen “special bond” they want to create with the actors. If it’s authentic fine, but, people are waking up to the manipulation done by people in Hollywood.
"An intelligent human with critical thinking skills.." You ruled out most of the planet there and certainly all Ryan's and Blake's customers!
