Jerry Bruckheimer Gives Update on Margot Robbie-Led Pirates of the Caribbean Sequel
Jerry Bruckheimer chats with ET’s Nichelle Turner at the 98th Oscars Nominees Luncheon in Los Angeles. The producer, who is nominated for his film, ‘F1,’ reacts to this only being his second-ever nomination. He also gives updates on ‘Top Gun 3’ and a potential Margot Robbie-led ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ sequel. The 98th Academy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on ABC at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Sunday, March 15.

We need Johnny Depp back. I don’t want to see it without Depp!! He was vindicated, and needs to be treated like it!
Margot Robbie would be a terrific addition to the cast, and would be a great scene partner for Johnny Depp. She has that edge to her where she can play someone crazy and unbalanced. The other cast members in Pirates could never do that. Jack Sparrow needs to partner with someone who can function at his level.

No offense to anyone but every year we hear were working on a script or close to having a script plus extra we talked to one of the actors from someone associated with potc. I look fwd to Top Gun 3 but I will believe another POTC exists when it starts officially filming.

I love Margot and yes she can definitely play a female pirate, but if it for Pirates of the Caribbean, then it need to be Johnny Depp as the main character. Just introduce Margot's character and then just do a spin-off of her later.
