So, greeting is optional?!?
As a French girl, that’s very true, I actually don’t know why we do that but there’s always a little pause between the greeting and the asking
I’m so sorry but do you really need to be in an other country to learn how to say Hello first and foremost before asking anything to actual people working to offer you a service?
is this not normal manners?
CAAAAAAAPPPPPPP… I think. Im partially french in my dad says everything as quick as possible
I feel like the cultural difference here is that you guys don’t have staffing issues, like it’s just as rude to try to start a conversation with someone who has 10 other things they need to be doing.
wow imagine that saying Hi…that’s incredible
Topical french falseness.. so tiring😢😢
They despise everybody and everything and then go 🤗🤗ebonjouuurrrr🤗🤗👿👿🤯🤮🤮🤮

Yall rly ain’t even say hi to people before yall ask them shit?
I live in NY, we do it here too, it’s a greeting. I also would think it would be rude to not say “hi” when you walk in.
When I visited Paris and Normandy area, everyone was really nice after exchanging greetings in French and then ordering or asking questions in English.
Relatives went recently. They aren’t talking about going back. But they did enjoy the unpasteurized cheese.
Gracious is not a quality of being French. So
Americans finding out how to be normal people. I like
She had to be taught this?? 😮
i would think that is true with interactions anywhere wouldn’t you? you say hi and say something personable like … hot isn’t it? …. then get to buisiness.
Nah they're just rude
Americans are super rude. I’m with the French 😊
as an american ive always done this, i always say hi and ask how theyre doing before i request anything or ask a question. maybe im js weird tho
Someone had to teach you basic manners? Wtf
Isn't it standard practice all over the world? (Maybe not the US but…)
As a Brit, we do the same but without the wait and not in french.
Same thing in Germany😂
At thats why no one visits paris
Yes America, we prefer politeness in Europe.
Ça s'appelle simplement " La politesse".
100% true … nothing happens before Bonjour that is good
So , you have to teach good manners to adults or they going to act entitled and then wander why everyone avoids you and think you're an a…..ole…?
