    1. As a French girl, that’s very true, I actually don’t know why we do that but there’s always a little pause between the greeting and the asking

    2. I’m so sorry but do you really need to be in an other country to learn how to say Hello first and foremost before asking anything to actual people working to offer you a service?

    3. I feel like the cultural difference here is that you guys don’t have staffing issues, like it’s just as rude to try to start a conversation with someone who has 10 other things they need to be doing.

    4. When I visited Paris and Normandy area, everyone was really nice after exchanging greetings in French and then ordering or asking questions in English.

    5. i would think that is true with interactions anywhere wouldn’t you? you say hi and say something personable like … hot isn’t it? …. then get to buisiness.
