I don't believe him 💀 its too convenient a point to claim was a breaking point (because it's whats followed him) when there is no evidence whatsoever that he pushed back at the time.
It was for ratings. We've learned alot about "reality" tv since then. All those decisions weren't Tyra's, most would come from the production company. She may not be innocent but it wasn't all her
I think people just find a problem with absolutely everything. It’s a photo shoot get over it. So what if it’s a race swap, honestly these woke people are so annoying.
They ALL played a part. Im not trying to hear it. The worst part of someone doing something wrong is someone else enabling it and not doing anything about it.
I don't blame him – it's a lot of money and he's just talking about the moment he realized it was sick. How many of you are walking away from millions? None.
People need to understand, this man was contracted for many seasons, breaking these contracts can get you sued and destroy your careers. Tyra is totally the type of person to see someone breaking contract as a "personal attack" and would've taken every cent this man owes. He continued to the best of his abilities and the clips always showed him, not Tyra, HIM comforting, consoling and taking care of the models. He was trapped in this contract and did his absolute best, people need to try understand that a Hollywood job isn't like a normal job, you can't just walk away and find a new job. The studios are vicious and uncaring and will destroy your life if they want to
“I was so appalled! But also, I helped them continue to abuse women (and men) and didn’t mind contributing to the problematic behavior because I was paidtt”
I don't believe him. I like Mr Jay, But he was really mean to the contestants as well. That's not a "I'm just here to do my job" mindset, he deliberately went out of his way to be a prick to some of those girls. Plus, his ass stayed there until his contract was up from the show but I remember vividly how he was going on talk shows talking about how he was "Fired" and how Tyra didn't even call him or Miss J to let them know what was going on and that they were being replaced. He covers his ass well for casual fans but the OGs who seen every cycle that he was on knows he is full of 💩 especially in this interview.
"He tried to leave" "hed have been blacklisted" yall, shut the hell up. He CHOSE to be a horrible person on that show. His contract didnt say to abuse those girls, yet he did. Who cares about being blacklisted when you could have pulled the plug on physical, mental, and sexual abuse?? Get a new career. He CHOSE to stay. Shut up with your contract nonesense. No contract is worth your soul, and he sold his.
Jay was hands down most genuine and creative person on that show,I watched it mostly because of his dedicated work,Tyra seemed very controlling and toxic.
I never understood why this photoshoot is so frowned upon. I loved it and I don't see anything wrong with the "race swap." Some of the girls had incredible photos, like Keenyah, Tiffany, Cristina, and Michelle… for example.
Imagine a gay weirdo WHITE liberal male, telling a BLACK WOMAN what she shouldn't do. How about switching ethnicities for a photo shoot, MADE SENSE TO THE BLACK WOMAN and wouldn't make sense to a gay liberal white male, especially where CREATIVITY is concerned.
This documentary is a lesson in how to avoid blame and taking responsibility for one’s own actions. They claim it was just the time, but they contributed to that narrative.

Honestly, nothing wrong with that photo shoot to begin with 😐… People are just feeling offended for no good reason

He’s giving “over explaining” and looking worse…
Tyra: ”I wanna celebrate WOC”
Ma’am, you already have WOC in your cast! Celebrate THEM! Makes no sense
Yeah this would have been a "ok im in breach of my contract then" from me
Damn, maybe I do need to watch this documentary

They were all evil including him.

What exactly was wrong with that shoot? It's only make-up. Black women try to look white all the time and it's okay… one world
Was the girl in the last image wearing a saree and a native American headdress while painted brown?! Wtf 😂😂😂😂

I find it so hilariously fitting that he looks as fake as he is now. Aging naturally would have looked better.
He seems kind of like a nasty individual.
I hated that episode so bad
Tyra was a pimp 😂😂
I never liked Tyra Banks, really can't stand her, she's just creepy.
Jay was hands down most genuine and creative person on that show,I watched it mostly because of his dedicated work,Tyra seemed very controlling and toxic.
What a piece of trash frfr. But you stayed how long after. Stop lying!
He really believes yall are this stupid.
You were part of it- STOP IT

He was her pawn of creativity. He did a spectacular job at it. All hail Jay Manuel.
He is so fake, just like that botched face he got !
Honestly, this was my favorite episode
