Lily Collins Calls Eating Disorder Recovery ‘an Ongoing Process’
Lily Collins is speaking out about her struggle with an eating disorder. The ‘Emily in Paris’ star posted to Instagram acknowledging Eating Disorder Awareness Week, and described her recovery as ‘an ongoing process.’ Lily first opened up about her struggles back in 2017, after starring in ‘To The Bone,’ a movie about a college student with an eating disorder. She revealed her own experiences with anorexia and bulimia began when her father, Phil Collins, and stepmother split up when she was 16.

Treasure your health. It is the MOST important thing we have. Without it, we don't have anything.
So sad 😢
Just EAT. What’s so hard? Looks like a 14 year old boy.
Good for her…but why this concern us??
Tough for everyone that goes through that. I tried to recover and I think I’ll just be in pain for the rest of my life and I’m always fatigued now… osteoporosis is no joke.
Phil collins likely takes good care of his girl. Cherish that, lily. Crème de la crème treatment, IVs, vitamins, nutrients…you have opportunity to not only get better but be one of those success stories that glitzy Hollywood loves. Gorgeous face, too…The proletariat class people that suffer with this mental illness just sort of die off or get forgotten.
A bit worried for her if she is to be playing Audrey Hepburn and it seems any girl that fixated on Audrey ended up with an Ed.
She looks like an elf
They always get the acting roles though…..Remember Ally McBeal? How many times has the actress who played Precious got any more acting roles?……I am not blaming these actresses for being thin but I believe directors still want thin women in 99% of the movie roles.
My first introduction to Lily Collins was literally a movie about her character who was recovering from an ED. I remember articles at the time saying she had to lose weight to play the role but she supposedly had a nutritionist or dietitian that made sure it was safely done. I believed it because I was like 13/14 when that came out but now I'm wondering if that contributed to her developing an ED or if she was allowed to participate in a movie that literally could have caused her to relapse..
Bummer a daughter of major musicians has a health problem. Bet he at least could pay for insurance…
