This might be a sad story, but I don't tell it for that reason. I just want to use it as an example that highlights how pure dogs are.
My dog, passed away a year ago due to kidney failure, but he was my best friend and he did something I will never forget. About an hour or two before he was taken to an emergency vet, on his final day, I sat with him, knowing something was terribly wrong. He was very lethargic, he had mouth ulcers, he was refusing food, even his favourite, etc. But with the mouth ulcers, came a great deal of pain.
However, I was sat there trying my best to comfort him and keep him warm and in a random moment, just as a gesture of pure care, he licked my forearm. Was just a couple of times, but think about what that gesture meant. He was in immense pain, his mouth must have been on fire. Yet, he chose to endure such pain just to show affection and lick my arm. Licking is a grooming behaviour and it is a way for dogs to say, "you're a part of my pack". He put all of what he was feeling to one side, to say, "you're my friend". I love pretty much all animals, but dogs are especially pure.
If your looking for love loyalty without question or judgement. Adopt a dog.❤ it also helps to connect and make human friends. When dog walking. And strange thing happens. You remember other dogs names but not the dogs human friends name😂😂

I prefer animals as companions, then human friends
Makes me incredibly happy and sad at the same time, some of these beautiful babies stay waiting for their owner to come home and they never do 😭💔
