Liza Minnelli book bombshells: Martin Scorsese affair, Gene Hackman beef, more
They were affairs to remember. In her new memoir, “Kids, Wait Til You Hear This!” Liza Minnelli revealed that she had a secret cocaine-fueled relationship in the ’70s with director Martin Scorsese. Other A-list trysts included ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov and French singer Charles Aznavour. The book, out March 11, also dives into Minelli’s marriage to Peter Allen, whom she caught in bed with a man, and calls out former co-star Gene Hackman for being “rude.”
The tell-all hits shelves after the Academy Awards received backlash for allegedly forcing Minnelli to use a wheelchair when she presented with Lady Gaga at the 2022 ceremony. The “Cabaret” legend called it “bullsh—.”
