Melissa Rivers sounds off on the best and worst Oscars 2026 red carpet looks

Stars saved their most spectacular dresses for Hollywood’s biggest night, and the Oscars 2026 red carpet definitely delivered on the glitz and glamour. Bold color was a welcome trend on the step-and-repeat, with Jessie Buckley looking glowing and gorgeous in pink-and-red Chanel and Kate Hudson stealing the show in jade-hued Giorgio Armani Privé. Other A-listers flocked to feathers; Teyana Taylor and Nicole Kidman both opted for Chanel gowns trimmed with dramatic plumage, and Demi Moore looked pretty as a peacock in green Gucci. Page Six Style Editor and Shopping Director Elana Fishman is highlighting the best looks of the night with Melissa Rivers on this episode of “Currently Trending.”

    1. Looks like Gwenth is unable to smile. Elle's dress was beautiful but I would have liked it better in another color. The structure of Kirsten's dress makes it look like she is slumping. Not a fan of Ava's dress, she looked like she was going to fly away. Kate Hudson looked amazing – one of the best. Hated Demi's feathers. She was so beautiful and now she is hard to look at.

    2. Emma Stone wore what she did specifically to signify that she knew she wasn't going to win. That category was not open. It was only between Jessie and Rose. No one knew that more than Emma and Kate,

    3. Rose Byrne. Perfect. Everybody else yuck. I saw bathing suit tops sewn to long skirts, shower wraps, prom dresses and Mother of the bride outfits, not to mention a bridal gown and a mourning outfit that would have turned Scarlett O'Hara green at the dance.

    4. Structured dresses, like Kate Hudson’s and Kirsten Duntz, look so stiff and don’t do anything for the body…..they are always awkward and funky…..

    5. That Taylor female looked absurd, as did Demi Moore, and Nicole Kidman. All of those feathers are HIDEOUS. Jessie Buckley's gown was outstanding. The insufferable Gweneth Paltrow — snoooooze. Ann Hathaway's surgery is very distracting. She ruined her face. I loved Kate Hudson's, Felicity Jones', and Emma Stone's gowns.

    6. i want elle fanning to wear something in color. tired of seeing her in pale neutrals because it washes her out. she needs to be in mustard yellow, emerald green and red.

    7. Seeing Melissa really makes me miss her mom. I always looked forward to watching Joan Rivers shows and her critique of the fashions at awards shows. Nobody ever came close to her and never will. Rest in eternal peace dear lady🥰

    8. And your mom would say that Leonardo Caprio put shoe polish on his mustache! he looked horrible! I miss your mom! You’re being too diplomatic…..

    9. I’m sorry I didn’t like her comments here. The comments regarding best and worse dressed was hit and missed. Maybe you don’t understand?
