    1. We purchased my wife’s anniversary ring from Tiffany & Co. expecting the level of quality and craftsmanship the brand is known for. Unfortunately, after roughly five years of normal wear, multiple sapphires developed cracks and two became loose.

Tiffany’s conclusion that this damage is due to “impact or excessive wear” does not reflect the facts: there were no known significant impacts, my wife routinely wears other fine rings without issue, and much of the damage was only visible after months in Tiffany’s possession.

Sapphire is a durable gemstone, and cracking across multiple stones under normal use raises serious questions about stone selection, setting, or manufacturing quality. Despite providing all relevant details and requesting reconsideration, Tiffany has refused to repair the ring or provide documentation supporting their conclusion.

At this price point, customers reasonably expect durability and accountability. We hope Tiffany will reconsider its position and uphold the standards of quality and service for which it is known.
