There is nothing like a new season (especially spring, in my opinion) to make you crave a fresh start and a little reset. Today we are taking care of a few fun to do list items centered around spring. After a yummy breakfast of berry pancakes, it’s off to the greenhouse to try to revive my house plants, grabbing a matcha along the way, and spending a little free time (literally free) at the library with my daughter. Later we make spring blondies elevated with brown butter and floral embellishments. We also have a lot of church this weekend, so I’ll need to fill you in. We finish off with a little untraditional spring cleaning, and a farmers market shop and haul in one of Lancaster County’s most historic markets. I also share with you my spring to-cook list. You should definitely start jotting down your own. Welcome to this video as we reset, reclaim, and refresh for the season– together!

    1. What's one thing you're EXCITED about on your spring to do list? And what are you dreading? My front porch needs a lot of work and I am just wanting to put it off!😢

    2. I'm about to reread Anne of Green Gables and I think it'll be really fun reread for spring. Beautiful nature descriptions, witty, and wholesome

    3. I was a huge book worm as well ! I was born in 1963 ! and would have time to read now but find out my attention span is short too , I blame it on our phones . I can rarely finish a book that holds me even 😢 . I listen too Audible books while I work .

    4. It's fun watching you try different drink combinations in your videos. Have you ever tried a Vietnamese coffee shop? I think you might like trying Vietnamese cold foam coffees if you haven't before!

    5. Hey girl- What a great video! Yummy food!😋 Cool happenings Megan🤗Always enjoy seeing the kiddos! Here in Oklahoma it has been nice and the next few days it is supposed to be in the 90's😎 Y'all have a blessed weekend🥰

    6. I was a huge bookworm when I was a child too and now, I couldn’t sit down and read a book to save my life. So I went to Audible. That’s the only way I can get my book fix now. 😊❤

    7. I thought there was nothing more boring than watching NASCAR on TV, but listening to it on the radio proves me wrong! Lol. (My x husband was into NASCAR, I miss him sometimes but I don’t miss having to watch NASCAR)

    8. I'd definitely recommend The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek and The Book Woman's Daughter by Kim Michele Richardson, a two-book series of historical fiction that follows Cussy Mary, a packhorse librarian and her who bring books to the hollows of a Kentucky's Appalachian community. Another good 3 book series is The Magdalene Chronicles by Gary McAvoy (The Magdalene Deception, The Magdalene Reliquary, and The Magdalene Veil). Father Michael Dominic, a young priest assigned to the Vatican as an archivist in the Secret Archives, uncovers clues to a document and relics that challenge what Christians believe. He and Paris investigative reporter Hana Sinclair embark on quests to find them, keep them from falling into the wrong hands, and must decide whether to reveal them or keep them secret to preserve the Christian faith.

    9. Five years living in Reading and I still have yet to visit Green Dragon. Each time we have gone, we get to the road to enter the parking lot and hubby never wants to wait!!! 😂 And yes please, a Lancaster County guide !!!!!!

    10. I 100 percent agree I totally smell old books! There is life when you open them, your transported through time! 😂❤ please please read the book unbroken story of Louis zamporini I bet your husband would love for you to read to him!

    11. This was such a beautiful video! I’d love a Lancaster country tour guide. My son lives near Hershey, so we get to the area pretty often.

    12. My mom LOVED the Helen MacInnes novels! I've never read them. Maybe I should try one. I used to be a crazy big reader, but then I had children and haven't picked up a book since. 😢 it makes me really sad because a good book used to be LIFE for me. 😅 Im hoping when my children are more grown I will be able to get that back.

Those donut holes look amazing!! Our family has started a tradition of making homemade glazed donuts for breakfast on the first day of spring. I serve them with a big bowl of fresh berries and honeydew melon, and a big plate of turkey sausages. I'm going to do my best to make it happen tomorrow, but I'm just coming out of 3 months of intense morning sickness, so it's going to depend on how I feel in the morning. Fingers crossed. 😊

LOVE your sweater btw! I've been on the hunt for a soft buttery yellow sweater like that. If my next trip to the thrift store comes up empty again I might just have to grab this one from amazon. 🥰

    13. I am reading Little Women – my 14 year old just read it and I’m now reading it so we can talk about it and compare it to the movie!
Maybe you and Evonne could read something together, and talk about it as you go along?
