‘Grey’s Anatomy’ creator Shonda Rhimes weighed in after Eric Dane—who died Feb. 19 after battling ALS—wasn’t included in the Oscars’ In Memoriam tribute during the March 15 ceremony. Shonda told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ at Vanity’s Fair post-Oscars party March 15, “I feel like when the Emmys come around, he will be immortalized the way he should be.” While he was a part of the on-air Oscars tribute, Eric is included in the Academy’s online In Memoriam page. He was in movies…He was in Marley and Me, Bad Boys also..what the heck Shonda !!!!😢 Shame on them not including him in the Oscar's tribute! I was T.V star and in movies too!!!

They always seem to 'forget' someone.
But he was in several movies about 36 so doesn't that make him eligible

The Academy needs to make a very large donation to the ALS foundation..

He was in the memorium!! I saw him!!
They spent too much time in Robert Redford and Rob Reiner and his wife. They should have cut somewhere else if that's what they needed to do. Like maybe one or two or their comedy skits. Those weren't necessary.
They are jerks
Maybe next year. There is a cutoff point for deaths at the beginning of year. They won't be included until the following year. Maybe?
You see though he has been in movies though it doesn't matter if he hasn't won an Oscar still should have been included…
