Barry Keoghan admits online abuse has made him ‘shy away’ from public eye
Barry Keoghan is asking the internet to please please please be kinder. The actor revealed that he went into hiding after his breakup with Sabrina Carpenter led to a slew of online bullying. “There’s a lot of hate online. It’s a lot of abuse of how I look,” Keoghan said while on SiriusXM’s “The Morning Mash Up” on Friday.

kind of heartbreaking to watch… it’s just reminding me how flippant people can be about commenting on a persons appearance. It’s crazy that we’ve supposedly evolved as a species but still very…very, unkind.
