Support black films for more black films! Black filmmaker Nina Lee shared that studios are watching the performance of ‘You, Me & Tuscany’ before moving forward with her projects: “A film that has nothing to do with me could quite literally change my life.”

This pisses me off. There are hundreds of white-led rom-coms that have flopped. Why do we always have to be above the standard?

Support black films BY black creators. Support films starring black leads and dominantly black casts.

  3. I’m watching this film on principle even though I’m so fucking sick of seeing the same trailer for it every five minutes on Peacock.

We need more black movies! I don’t give one damn what the Oscars say. One of Them Days was the best movie of last year and I need about 500 more black movies starring black actors!

Well lucky for her the trailer and the stills hooked me so now I’m going. This looks like a sweet old fashioned rom com and I am ready. I love them both.

  6. I recently read that Regé-Jean Page did this movie because he didn’t like that people were saying “romcoms are dead”. Thought that was cool.

  7. I will be watching! I’m already seated. I have had a long time crush on Halle and Rege so this is like Christmas for me!

This movie looks cute and I hope it does well since I need silly romcoms in my life right now.

  9. I’ll be there! I’ve got A list so I might go see it more than once just to support

I’m not a rom com fan but I’m rooting for Halle Bailey and now I’m rooting for Nina Lee and for her movie to be released. I just went to the Cinemark app and bought a ticket for Friday.

  11. As much as I want the movie to succeed, it sucks that her movie is being held up by the performance of a completely unrelated movie just because she’s Black. Movies featuring primarily white male casts flop too and that has zero effect on other films with white casts being made.

Amy shithumor is making a romcom about a war criminal and that’s okay apparently…

They don’t stop bankrolling Sydney Sweeney bombs, but Black led films have to jump through hoops just to get *maybe* released?? I don’t even want to watch a romcom but here I come anyway!

I mean it is definitely getting the promotion. I will go see it, but expecting a rom com to get good numbers in theaters is a pipe dream. It should have went streaming.

I keep seeing the trailer and it looks soooo good you don’t have to tell me twice

I’ll be watching this not only out of principle but because hello Rege Jean?! It could be a silent film and I’d watch. It also looks so cute anyway. The tagline is not it though. They need to get rid of that.

One of the last times I went to the theater was to see and support One of Them Days (which ended up doing really well) so I’ll go see this too!

  18. 2h of basking my eyes in the gorgeousness of Regé-Jean Page and Halle Bailey? Just shut up and take both my money and my time ❤️

  19. I haven’t watched a movie even on netflix in maybe two years, but maybe I’ll try to see it.

Will foreign viewership count? I’m in the uk and love a good rom com but usually more the British ones… but I’ll totally take a punt on this. Even if I don’t end up liking it that much sitting in a room watching rege jean page is not exactly a waste of my time!
