    1. I LOVE Boston, and don’t find them rude. Then again, I’m Irish.. so it makes sense. We hate false politeness and performative, formal conversation, which so much of American conversation is. The “don’t get cocky” is akin to “notions” in Ireland. Nothing more we hate than someone with notions .

    2. I don’t know why Boston gets a bad rap. In my experience the people are way more friendly than the college town I’m from in the Midwest

    3. Okay now I only heard this from numerous people.. never met steve (its on my bucket list, Ken Ham first though)😂❤ but they've all said Keanu, and Steve are the only nice people in Hollywood

    4. It’s because he’s not from Boston. He’s from Concord, which is a really nice town. But on the south shore, where he raised his kids, there are a lot of Boston transplants around.

    5. Ngl, ive recently moved to Mass. People are genuinely so nice. I love it here. I dont miss Virginia where everyone hates each other and being nice is a threat. I dont miss Florida where everything is unwelcoming and moist.

People say hi more than any southern state ive lived in. And they mean it.

Youll get the occasional road rage, which is hilarious cause they say "ret***d" up here a lot in the funniest way imaginable 😂😂 and i very much hate the word. It makes me hate it less cause of how stupid the accent makes it sound 💀

    6. What was that line from the Golden Globes? "Ben Affleck filmed his last two movies in Boston, but shot this one in Iran because it's friendlier to outsiders."

    7. So this is an Irish thing, in ireland. We call it "having notions". And it is both a good idea and a bad idea. But basically don't forget who you are and where you come from at its best and, as Amy said, don't grow or change or express unusual interests or styles at its worst.
