Lmfao. They introduced these ad-free options!! It was originally ad-free!! I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!!

there’s nothing on netflix that won’t be on another site (wink wink) within an hour of it being released.

I honestly don’t know what people watch on Netflix.

Every time I’ve tried it, I’ve watched the thing I wanted to watch and then can’t find anything worth watching.

  4. remember when streaming was meant to be the affordable option compared to cable

    what a fucking joke

  5. They all spend every waking hour figuring out how they can pull the last pennies from consumers. It will never be enough

We cancelled our Netflix long ago and pirate everything for free. It even auto downloads anytime a new episode drops so we don’t need to think about it.

Should be illegal to have ads on a paid service, some of my other subscriptions do it and I fucking hate them all

💀 so ads pay them to show ads, we pay them more to not show ads. I think it’s time we peace out and become straw hats. Let them figure it out.

  9. The crazy thing is, it’s only a twenty year old company. They haven’t thought of the fact that we can just, not be consumers of it or any streaming anymore. I’ll watch on a friend’s* if I’m staying* at their house, but I’m not missing anything by not having it. Also deleted my Hulu membership.

But if you want FUNNY: Dropout TV is amazing. Independently owned by the creators of College Humor. Improv at its finest.

If you want EDUCATION and CURIOSITY: Roku The Great Courses. Entire lecture series led by tenured professors.

If you want to go anywhere and do anything and have any genre: THE LIBRARY has volumes and volumes of BOOKS. They’ve been around for more than twenty years. The only ad breaks are when you say so.

I’m finally deactivating my account. I’ve had Netflix since 2012!! I easily use them least out of other streaming services ✌️

But also Netflix is investing in crap people don’t care for. Why did they put podcasts in there & give money to people with no talent? I feel that they think that because they increase it little by little like $1 here or $2 there people won’t care but when you look at the bigger picture of $20/month for ad free is a lot especially in an economy where people are getting laid off or aren’t finding a job.

At this point just bring back cable and 22 episodes seasons for the love of god.

They’re gonna keep hiking up the prices until people wake the fuck up and unsubscribe. This should’ve been clear after the second time.

  14. Netflix was amazing… until everyone else wanted a piece of their pie. Now you have to dredge through multiple subscriptions trying to see if one of them has the movie you want to watch. Or use Google, and follow the link only to discover that it’s not available in your country.

    Corporations ruined it for everyone.

  15. The move to push people from ad-free happened when they introduced ad-supported tiers at all. They’re just continuing to push people harder and harder to go down to that lowest tier. Netflix apparently makes significantly more money from people watching with ads than people paying for subscriptions without ads. I’m not sure how that works, but yeah.

If I’m watching ads it’s going to be on something free, like Pluto.

I cancelled Netflix. They have some audacity increasing prices while quality continues to go down.

News like this makes me thankful for Tubi. Great cartoons, A24 movies, old schlocky horror movies. What else does a man need??

  18. Marigold1976 on

I’m never going back to watching with ads. Chatted with my partner today. We’re cancelling all streamers and going cold turkey for the spring/summer. It’s just not worth but anymore.

  19. Would everyone please just cancel these trash streaming services already? They cannot survive without people like you and me sending them money every month. Shut this shit down already. Show them you have some backbone.

Netflix is in a death spiral. Content is getting shittier and shittier, pushing more consumers away hence the need to increase prices and eventually is going to bankrupt themselves
