For anyone curious: they were in Japan for the Formula 1 race Jack Black waved the checkered flag as cars finished the race

Oh so that’s why all the drivers kept saying mushroom mode all weekend in reference to the battery boost and energy harvesting issues with the cars at this track. F1 fans were saying they should be worried about Nintendo suing over them saying it but now seeing these people were all there promoting, I’d guess that the drivers were encouraged to say that due to movie promotion. I haven’t gotten around to watching the race yet so I hadn’t seen the production but heard all the driver sound bites about the cars this weekend.
Benny Safdie being part of this promotional tour as if he’s a selling point for anyone is so weird.
