From my Internet comments understandings over the years I’m pretty sure companies basically have to sue even over harmless things like this to protect their trademark. Else later the argument can be made that it’s not precious to them and they let things slip through the cracks.

Also, consider someone does mistake this for Vogue property and the magazine published text that was harmful to their brand.

My 6 doxies would much rather have a subscription to Douge over Vouge. It would go great with their champagne stuffy and velvet beds.

On the bright side, I’ve never heard of Dogue and now I’m tempted to subscribe. That pink Pomeranian cover is very adorable.

  4. Would this even hold up in court? There are so many parodies out there like this
and it’s just a parody magazine featuring dogs. Get over it, Vogue.

I thought this was an Onion article at first. Incredibly lame of Condé Nast

People who should definitely know what the Streisand Effect is keep demonstrating they in fact do not know what the Streisand Effect is.

Also and most importantly, fuck corporations.

This feels like a Streisand Effect in favor of Douge waiting to happen. I’m with it.

I have an awesome magazine called Catmopolitan with Pawlina Purriskova on the cover.

So, instead of working together and both parties win, we decided to make the dog parody an enemy.

I would rather read Dogue instead of vogue. How big of a pretentious turd do you have to be to take parody seriously.

Streisanded. I honestly think their objective is to bankrupt them so they can offer to buy them out. BTW Vogue is owned by The Newhouse family. It was rumored in 2025 that Bezo’s purchased Vogue but his “sources” have denied that, though it’s still rumored that Bezo’s has a large buy in for CondĂ© Nast.

    > [The Newhouse family](https://www.britannica.com/topic/Newhouse-family) is an American media dynasty that owns Advance Publications, a private conglomerate controlling Condé Nast (publisher of Vogue, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair), along with major stakes in Reddit, Charter Communications, and Warner Bros. Discovery

  14. I hope I hope I hope this was filed in CA and Dogue wrecks them with anti-SLAPP.

Vogue also has a Dogue IP, so this is pretty standard copyright. If you look further than “big evil corporation vs underdog” (lol) it’s not outside the realm of any other standard IP / Copyright infringement.

I had a similar idea to make a parody dog magazine. I hope Dogue wins here!
