This room started out so ugly, but I think we made it pretty cute back in 2021. BUT . . . when my husband said he is reflooring AND we were rebranding the podcast, I knew it was time to make this space more functional. Isn’t it amazing how the existing chairs and other furniture look so much better in the new room? Same furniture, but in a completely new setting. I hope this gave you some inspiration for your home office, whether you have a dramatic makeover planned like this one, or you just needed some organization motivation to get you started. One thing is for sure, having the space to craft and compute is definitely such a handy EXTRA to have in your home. I did without this for years, and I was just FINE. But I sure do feel blessed by this extreme home office makeover!

Would like to have heard a cost breakdown for everything in this room. I know some things are probably pretty expensive versus others, but it would help to know the price point if someone wanted to do something similar.

What about Roman blinds mounted high so that they don’t block the sun streaming in but they would give you privacy in the evening.

I was hoping you would address what you decided to do with your sewing machine.
The old Honey I'm Homemaker background. . I always thought it was just a wall that had spackle on it and was undone on purpose. I didn't realize it was wallpaper! The new office looks great. I like all the changes. The built-in and desk is so great. Nicely done. It looks like something that a designer would have done on HGTV or something.

Such a perfect cozy video to watch while having a second cup of tea this morning! I really enjoyed watching Miller pulling down the old wallpaper. I had always assumed that the old background for “Honey, I’m Homemaker” was a paint treatment, so it was fun to realize that it was actually wallpaper.

The room was not ugly when you started your renovation, it turned out nice though. My favorite thing is the new cabinetry. The wallpaper is ok, you mentioned how expensive it was. My question is where do you find the Amish woodworkers? Is there a specific company you deal with?
You have electronics on the left but your podcast area is on the right. And you've got crafts/cricket stuff in the right tower and I'm assuming you're putting the table back in for sewing on the left. I think you should swap the items in the towers.
