Zendaya on the parasocial relationship people have with her and Tom Holland’s relationship: “Im aware that im a public person and so is he so I really do understand that but in a lot of ways im also a private person. I hear it but i also like my own little boundaries of what im willing to share.”

  1. I think one of the reasons I, and maybe other people, do find them so charming is because of how obviously their relationship isn’t for the world but very much for themselves. I think many couples in the public eye are so packaged for audience consumption and I think it’s very refreshing to see a couple that isn’t hiding, but isn’t putting on a show.

I hope only the best for them, and I hope they can continue to find a balance between being public figures and having a private life that brings them peace.

Me a hag just staying out of this woman’s business.

Also she could have been MUCH less restrained with that response and I’d still be happy for her.

I think she pretty much confirms being married but won’t be saying it out loud. She’s also wearing a huge diamond ring and a wedding band, as she speaks.

But I think this is an honest PR response to  what must feel like a lot of pressure. Because this is is what she’s been asked the most.

I hope once this press tour wraps, people slowly go back to being more normal and by the next press tour, it’ll be considered old news.

I do wonder—had she shown up wearing a wedding ring but offered no confirmation—would the media have pressed so hard about the wedding? Or was it Law Roach’s comment that really cornered her into a point of no return?

She and Tom are how I wish Hollywood always was. I enjoy them and know next to nothing about them except they haven’t been problematic. I know SO much about so many celebrities against my own will because we just absorb headlines all day.

Has boundaries about privacy but not boundaries about working with men who get with underage women. Idc if this has nothing to do with the video I’m don’t with Hollywood lmfaoo

    I adore this for Zendaya!
Also this is literally all Meghan Markle asked for…

She’s one of my favourite celebrities in large part because every time I see her she’s simply doing her job excellently.

She is often in my town during the holiday seasons. I feel so bad when people post that she is at Costco or wherever. Yet they always say she stopped and was kind to people. I’ll admit I am parasocial about those two as a Spider-Man fan. At the same time I think those two probably emotionally exhaust themselves by being so kind so often in public. It must be a lot after awhile.

I was just thinking about this again this morning and holy fuck I wish people would leave these two alone to be happy in peace with what they *don’t want to share.* It’s so cringe inducing every time someone does a “hurrdurrhurr they’re certainly married and here’s how her latest statement confirmed it she just doesn’t want to say it out loud.” *You’re not in on anything. It isn’t your business.*

I think its super normal to get excited for your favs and watch from the sidelines. But people take it too far and forget that they technically dont know anything personal about celebrities. Whatever she, tom, and other celebs choose to show are a small glimpse of their lives. The only personal thing I know about Zendaya in recent news is that shes with Tom Holland and they are getting married. They are not reality tv stars where their personal life IS their career. Even then, people get too weird about it. Reality TV is currently in the midst of some crazy drama on one of the long running reality shows, and while its fun to get the tea, some people take it as far as death threats, stalking them, etc. Its super bizarre.

Also, and I know this is probably trite, but good on the entertainment reporter for that response. I think we’ve seen far too many go “uh huh, but…” and then plow back in trying to get a reaction or clip.
