Unpopular opinion, but I loved the video tribute to Elizabeth Taylor. I’m going to rewatch some of her movies this weekend. Such a brilliant actress!

Inaccurate title. The article states that the royalties will go to the estate which oversees the foundation. Different than the title.
“Additionally, royalties earned on streams of the video will go to the Taylor estate, which oversees her archive and the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.”
Edit: Downvote all you want that doesn’t change the facts 🤷‍♀️ idk why people are miffed over me calling out inaccurate reporting. Well. I do know lol.
If my comment upsets you then maybe ask yourself why the original reporting isn’t good enough for you.

That is nice of her to do.
Elizabeth Taylor was one of the biggest AIDS activists.

The video is pretty cool! She specifically chose a 20 year timeframe from the time ET was 16 to Taylor’s age now. Taylor released Debut at 16 and it’s the 20 year anniversary.

Reading this thread jeez…
Kayne’s career is thriving, getting ton of attention from American media, good streams, headlining a festival – no one gives a sh1t, but sure, good to see you all angry at female artist for *check notes* honoring an icon.

One of the best Facebook groups I follow is The AIDS Memorial, which aims to put faces on what has sort of become a nebulous concept in 2026.
People submit stories of their loved ones who passed of AIDS. God there are so many of them. Many, many love stories of people who acted as caretakers despite a horribly homophobic environment; heartbreaking stories of whole families who died in poverty without resources, nurses who contracted it, etc.
Elizabeth Taylor is an absolute legend for what she did for the community.
I’m grateful if even a portion of streaming royalties go to continuing her work, particularly as this pathetic, evil administration and their minions continue to slash funding that is NECESSARY for education and prevention.

Am I dumb dumb? Taylor Swift of course will pay Elizabeth Taylor’s estate, because how else is she going to use her licensed clips without getting sued?
