    1. Wearing a black inspired hairstyle is not racist, but if you are racist and do not appreciate black people for their culture — but you wanna wear black hair, listen to black music etc, all while shitting on black people; that is cultural appropriation. Otherwise it is cultural appreciation.

Important side note that braids/locks are different. Those are protective hairstyles that were made specifically for black people’s hair texture. It is damaging to white folks scalp and hair foldable because of the tension. That is the biggest reason white people shouldn’t wear those styles (in addition to the point I made earlier, about benefiting from the culture while hating on the people)

    2. I know nothing about black girl hair. I know nothing about white girl hair. I know about hair and styles in different pretty women with different pretty hair.

    3. Hair is hair. Culture is how you grew up, who you grew up with and around. Culture is not and should not be bound to hair styles and clothes. It's much more than that. Share your "cultural styles" with everyone from any culture. To me, that's real acceptance

    4. With class and effort cultural appropriation is turned into cultural appreciation, if you know it and learn what makes it significant understanding the history behind something significant to their culture let's you connect with people. Mindlessly throwing together a costume out of someone's identity for the purpose of entertainment or being purposely deragotary is where I think appropriation lies

    5. Hate when this is said😭.. she definitely can wear a ponytail with a swoop. Just about everyone has baby hair as well….. if I wasn’t a poc I definitely wouldn’t want my baby hair to look crazy all the damn time just because I’m scared someone will say I’m appropriating.

    6. Those loopy things were all the rage with the flappers in the 1920's. And vikings had dreads centuries before they knew brown people existed. God, some Americans are thicker than mince, and they export their ignorance all over the world.

Yesterday, I saw an Asian-American "influencer" claiming that Japanese bento boxes are a symbol of the patriarchy and should be boycotted. You can't even have a sodding lunch box in the woke world order. Stop it. Get some help.
