    1. Marilyn Monroe, the most famous woman in the world at the time, was consistently underpaid. For the unfinished Something's got to Give she was paid $100k while Liz Taylor was paid $1M while filming Cleopatra at the same time. She was never properly compensated for her work, even though she earned the studios millions. When she died, her estate was only $800K, pitiful by Hollywood standards. She was exploited.

    2. I hate that in almost every video about Marylin, the narrator has to put down Jane Russell, when she didn’t have anything to do with what Marilyn was paid… it’s still a predatory practice that goes on everyday. I’m sure that Mormon wives chick is making more starring in “Chicago” on Broadway than the other “no name” actors that have played the role (but also went through 20+ years of blood sweat and tears for an industry that sees them as a peanut)
