The morgue where Marilyn was taken following her tragic passing in 1962, has officially been demolished. This has happened without notice in the last couple of days.
No, the mortuary and cemetery where Marilyn Monroe is buried, Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary, has not been demolished. She remains in her original crypt (Corridor of Memories, #24) in Los Angeles, and the facility remains active, with nearby crypts still being auctioned.
Thanks LT for letting us know. This apparently rather silent , and rapid incident, reminds me of how the β Crooked House pubβ was razed overnight. Luckily I believe there is an order to rebuild it.
This was a very touching video. I was 10 years old when Marilyn died and I remember crying when I heard the news. I grew up in the Hollywood area and she was my favorite movie star at the time. Good work, thank you!
