Remember, just because sky says it, doesn’t mean its true! After all, she’s not only claiming that Charli XCX has violated her copyrights, but also that Warner Bros. Pictures, which released a movie using the soundtrack made by Charli XCX, is violating them! “That’s how it works” is limited by how much money you can make in an infringement lawsuit… and umm… warner bros. has a lot of money. If she has proof of everything “with dates”… And of course its not just Sky… her publisher “Third Side Music” obviously might be interested in what Charli may or may not have done. That is how they make money.
And sky could believe what she’s saying… and it still not be true. Often in life, we are wrong. Or we’re right and can’t actually prove it.
But it’s also entirely possible she’s telling the truth. Charlie and Finn Keane could have ripped off unreleased demos by Sky Ferreira. If its true that’s a shame.
This is really shitty if true.. Having proof with dates.. Yikes.
I mean… it’s not really unreasonable for your label and/or producer to shop songs around after almost 15 years of not putting them out. Sorry but Sky is only a victim to herself at this point. She even got a feature on the album, i don’t really see how this could be as bad as she’s trying to portray it.
This is really shitty of Charli, she should know better.
Pleased don’t attack me, but hasn’t Charli been a verified weirdo? Like writing a song in reverence of her bloodthirsty Zionist friend? And something recently with Russia and Ukraine?
If she really had “proof with dates” then she and the other people who had rights to those demos (she wouldn’t be the only one) would be filing legal paperwork before saying a single word about this. There’s no “it’s not worth it because the world is unfair” when that’s the actual situation, you’re suing and you’re shutting your mouth about it without a lawyer. And if you do say something, you’re not leaving it at “I could prove it but I don’t wanna”.
The worst thing that I can imagine being true here is that she sold music to Charli or Charli’s label and is now upset that it’s being used the way they have every right to use it. But honestly my best guess is that Sky is going through it and hearing ghosts. I feel for her, but this was a really unprofessional and embarrassing thing to do.

I love Skye, but she’s been crying wolf for about a decade now. For example – she claimed her label wouldn’t let her perform. When she finally did, she turned all the lights off, slurred into the mic and left early. She was very clearly on drugs.
My best guess is that these tracks have been cut up and sold after sitting on a shelf for 10+ years and she wasn’t fully aware.
Either it’s true or the drugs are frying her brain
It could be more of the record companies fault too . Ugh that industry truly sucks towards the artists 😞 sky also had a bunch of music they won’t let her release I believe.
