Ah yes, letâs turn a historic moment into a fucking phone war. Glad NASA replied tbh.

brand accounts are WAY too comfortable on commenting on like.. everything. i see the most random brands on the most random tiktoks – pick and choose people!

This was a really bizarre attempt at advertisingâŚlike the only thing you can say is âwell ackshually shouldâve used our product in this historic trip that has nothing to do with cell phonesââŚdid they really think that was going to land well?

They responded to one of my comments last year, i was so proud of myself (i was nice and they were nice in return)
It’s crazy to me how we went from years of people effortlessly pointing out when brands do the “how do you do, fellow kids?” bullshit to just clapping like seals and unironically laughing whenever an intern or some exec’s overpaid niece comandeers a company’s social media page and starts doing tryhard aloof no-caps/no-punctuation posts.

Who are the 2400 Samsung aficionados liking that comment? All bots, surely.

If you take a picture of the moon using your Samsung phone, it automatically uses AI to âenhanceâ it. So no, Samsung. It wouldnât.

Idk why people are saying itâs bad for Samsung to comment. Brands have been engaging in this playful banter on social media for ages. Getting roasted gets them attention regardless.

Either the astronauts already owned iPhones or more realistically Apple invested more money into this so no shit they used their phones

This isnât a real comment exchange. You can see the slight misalignment on the supposed comment from NASA where itâs been copy-and-pasted together, and the profile picture thumbnails are also different sizes. The fonts for âSamsungâ and âNASAâ are different to the usual IG font and weighting in the comment sections too, as youâll see in the âlolivletâ username at the very bottom of the screenshot.
I hate being pedantic but I see more and more people being fooled by these screenshots now, and I have to call it out every time. Iâll happily eat my words if anyone has a real screenshot of this, though!

These are the days I hate the sassy gay white male social media intern who made Wendyâs Twitter so viral, because it now gives so many brand accounts the rationale to be shady in an attempt to be relatable, fun or get viral attention, when most of the time it doesnât stickÂ
