I’m sorry does that look absolutely nothing like Margaret Qualley to anyone else?

This is like a magazine editorial disguised as candid friends hangout pics, I’m imagining stylists, makeup artists, photogs assistants ect. The works

The video was shot on film. So much money. Part of why it looks so great. Also classy of Sab to provide the full credits… not everyone does.

It’s fascinating to me how the new look for pop stars seems to be ultra muscular. Gracie, Sab, Taylor, Olivia…

Hot girls doing hot girl things

This seemed like a fun shoot to be apart of

Why does Margaret not lookĀ like her here?

Sorry but the figure looks different as well push up or otherwise.

Their post makes me sad and feels like they are trying to hard to earn the male gaze like it’s a trophy.

I’ll pay attention when they show up fully clothed and don’t talk about ā€œboys.ā€Ā

  7. These feel like they were intended for the male gaze to be like ā€œooh women being into each otherā€ but I can feel the straightness radiating from my screen

  8. I mean. Okay I guess. But when do we stop pretending this is subversive and empowering and just own that it’s patriarchal sex bomb imagery?

  9. Do you guys wear pilgrim outfits on your girls nights out bc if not you apparently might be a victim of the male gaze! Horror! Seriously, does no one just like being hot and glam with their gal pals that you cannot relate to that?

Also, crazy, but not only men are attracted to women, in case you missed it.

Finally, male gaze is about a point of view. I believe the most popular example of the phrase is when director Michael Bay shot the car scene with Megan Fox in transformers.

TWO FEMALE DIRECTORS cannot direct themselves with the male gaze! This music video is literally from their point of view, and they are highlighting what they wanna focus on. And the song is… not about a house. So yeah, sexuality should probably be an element in a music video for a song about getting your rocks off and feeling hot for the first time in a while after a bad break up.
