CBS interviewed an 18-year-old using steroids to looksmax revealing he’s been on tren for 10 months after seeing influencers use it. They also interviewed his parents, who say they are very concerned. “If I have a heart attack at 30, I have a heart attack”

Interesting video, thanks for sharing. When the vast majority of the public unironically think that people like Chris Hemsworth are natty, it’s not a shock that guys like this end up with crippling body dysmorphia.

  2. All this for muscles that don’t work.
For a small wee wee and heart issues.

    Crazy

  3. We’ve been focusing so much on young women and the negative impacts of social media on them and meanwhile young men are going through the same. What a phenomenon

There’s a massive wave of male insecurity that influencers like Andrew Tate and Clavicular are fueling and feeding right into unfortunately.

I just watched Manosphere and spent most of the time yelling at my tv. It’s hard to talk to a teen about this stuff because they see you as old and lame, but we still have to try.

Between Ozempic and steroids….this generation is fucked.

It makes me so sad. I saw folks on Tik Tok the other day bragging about their 400-600 calorie diets. ED culture really is becoming mainstream again. And it’s so hard to explain to teenagers that once you open the door to an ED there’s no turning back. It’s not something you can just pack up with your high school yearbooks and move on. Once you open that door it’s with you for the rest of your life. 😕

So many men come up with very twisted, stupid ways of solving issues that can be properly addressed with therapy

I’ve never seen a better example of what they say about teenagers not having the part of the brain developed that conceptualizes long-term thinking and consequences. 30 is basically ANCIENT, right? So who cares what happens then? Yikes.

Looksmaxxing is such a toxic culture. It’s so sad because his brain isn’t even fully developed yet. This kid is just a drop in the broccoli head bucket.

  10. Men need to realize they’re single not bc of their looks but bc of their personality 😭😭😭

If we have sympathy for people suffering from anorexia we should also have sympathy for this as well. This seems like a mental health issue.

Describes himself as short then shoots himself up with something known to stunt growth in teenagers. Could have hit a growth spurt at 16 and fixed a lot of the “”issues”” he believed he had.

Imagine being so insecure you are willing to die at 30. Yikes.

Also, 90% of women don’t like when men are incredibly muscular. Just look fit and you’re fine.

i think it’s really cool we’re suddenly seeing this crap publicized everywhere! it’s sure to lead to healthier choices for everyone involved and consuming this content! /s

I always wonder where are the parents in this. I would never let my kid take steroids at that age. I can also tell you that the type of guys I see get women the most aren’t manosphere followers, have an average not athletic body, and are self-confident in themselves.

    This just reeks of insecurity.

these kids are so young, I understand not wanting to wait and slowly work for it at that age bcs everythign feels like life and death when you’re a teen, but at least try before goign for stereoids

I have a friend who was overweight most of his life, and in his mid 30s decided to to clean up a bit bcs his bloodwork wasn’t great, his knees and back started hurting like hell. he’s been working steadily at it for a couple of years and looks amazing, not jacked, not huge, just like a guy who is concious that if he doesn’t pay attention to his diet and doesn’t work out it affects his health. but I know he was really discouraged those first few months when nothign was outwardly happening. if his personal trainer didn’t really make a point to talk about how his bloodwork got better, he was losing fat in critical areas, and was gettign relief with his back pain, I’m not sure that he wouldn’t have started taking **something**

I remember when Zyzz became famous for doing this back in the 2000s, he died of a heart attack aged 22. Apparently he’s one of their role models which is crazy, I’d have thought he’d be a cautionary tale not a hero for young men.

Really sad to be 16 and already obsessed with this stuff. I know when you’re that age the consequences don’t really matter, but I hope this kid lives long enough to realize that having muscles ain’t worth a heart attack.

  19. Dude thinks 30 will never come, I promise he’ll care whether or not he has a heart attack when he’s 30

  20. And they got the hunkiest reporter to interview the kid. Assuming he doesn’t use steroids or such substances, I feel like that was done on purpose.

  21. The amount of idiots that have said the same shit he does and ends up living a life in hell and regret as adults are way higher that the opposite.

  22. But I can’t take T as a trans man who otherwise doesn’t produce enough of it (or any hormones atp). We clearly have our priorities in order as a society.

  23. navis-svetica on

Body dysmorphia can and does kill. Modern gym culture sucks so bad. I remember some ex-bodybuilder said something to the effect of ’the first time you step into a gym is the day you start feeling small’. You are always comparing yourself to others and feeling the compulsion to look like them, or look ’better’ than them, at any cost of your health and wellbeing.

  24. overpregnant on

I assume that this kid is still on his parents health plan, so yes, they can in fact do something about it right now

  25. Funniest thing is he will get absolutely zero attention from women for this. Clavicular and all these idiots are just interested in looking good for other dudes. Homoeroticism at its most stupid.

  26. When you are this young you dont realize how terrifying it is to be laying in bed having heart tremors. He doesnt even realize life yet
