My now wife had to do something similar with me during our first week together i sliced my forearm all the to the muscle at work a few days after we started dating that saint of a woman took me home and cared for me till the blood loss didnt have me as loopy and i could do more on my own. So proud of her for sticking around the last 5 years.

My point being you can swear in the presence of partners for a purpose (such as pain relief) without it being directed at said partner completely healthily

I had a bad burn and the ER Dr told my fella how to help me! He did help me and yes it hurt soooooo bad but I just thanked him for all of his efforts to help me recover. I felt like screaming and yelling but I knew it would make him feel worse than he did helping so I kept it to small whimpers. He helped a lot. And would not let me cook anything because he knew the heat from the stove would make it ache worse! God has really blessed me ❤
