Such a good movie.
Humanities paranoia being it's own greatest enemy.
Kept expecting Jeremy’s character to say something about Yao Ming.
How come Technologically advanced Aliens never wear clothes?
Not "tool." Not "gift" "Weapon" This is the weakest moment in the movie, a cheap trick that creates the next moment of crisis. But it's bull. Aside from that I loved this movie.
Everyone who thinks this level of stupidity isn’t realistic is delusional
it presupposes that an entity capable of arriving at our planet would not already know everything about us. Everything. there would be no holes in their complete understanding of our species biology, the planet's biosphere, human cultures, languages, societies and our capacity's. we would be owned completely if that were their intention. there would be no tests of our chimp 'morals' regarding our reactions.
Seems to be like Torchwood's Children of the Earth with the 456!

The sec of defense is on the line. The president this or that: Can you imagine something happening like this and you have the incompetent narcissists that you currently have. Whenever I hear those job titles I cringe – the level of stupidity that is shown in the white house means that authority as we have known it is a past thing. There is no authority in America.
This is so real because it’s exactly how humanity would react in a situation like this. Very sad.
As a Hungarian: What word do we have for it? Because nothing comes to mind, other that "divide and conquer" which is not exactly a Hungarian thing. Ugyanitt boiler elado.
Typical for humans. Sigh. Why can't we just work together?
